COVID-19 Gone Scrappin’ In Bloom Operations Update.
I usually try to keep things positive on social media. But the struggles of being a small business owner in rural Manitoba can be challenging. Even more so now. Tough times call for tough decisions! As each hour/day of news unfolds, I have been very stressed over financial decisions, paying bills, if I can afford to keep my staff employed and continuing to meet the needs of my customers in a safe and healthy way.
Unfortunately, it has been very quiet with walk in traffic in the store, which is very understandable and even great at helping to flatten the curve around our community.
However, that being said I also needed to make hard decisions to hopefully be able to financially weather this storm and still be here after as a business. This will be a difficult time, but thankfully I’m stubborn.
For now, I unfortunately have decided to cut our hours & staff.
Hours will be: (until further notice or changes)
Monday to Friday 8am to 9:30am &
2pm to 4pm
- Take Out Food Orders (Soup & Flatbread) can be ordered by 9:30am or day before. You can also call to order drinks for pick up. We can bring out to your car with scheduled pick up.
- Flower orders to be delivered are to be ordered the day before delivery.
If you see one of our vehicles out front and are feeling well/haven’t left the country - stop in!
Chances are, we are working on projects and you can shop and visit with us.
We will also be available by appointment should you need something during “closed hours”. We only ask that you do not come when you are feeling under the weather.
To shop or order, we will be available via email or facebook messenger to shop online. Or leave a phone message at the store and we will call you back!
Keep your eye on our facebook page! We have some fun ideas and specials planned while we are limiting hours. If you are in isolation and need anything, please let us know so we can try to help!
I get it! It’s better to play it safe. I hope in a couple of weeks we can all say that we over reacted because that means we did it right. Most importantly I hope we all stay healthy. And
I truly hope I will be able to open our GSIB doors fully again after. I just wish bills didn’t keep arriving if we are closed, lol. But I have my family livelihood to protect.
Let’s all try to get through this together.
Thank you all for your continued support.
